Wheelchair Project

Our colleagues in the Rotary Club of Los Angeles, USA, initiated this project. 120 wheelchairs were provided for disabled people in the Szczecin area.
he wheelchairs were funded 50% by RC Los Angeles and 50% by the Wheelchair Foundation.
The wheelchairs were manufactured in China to the exacting specifications of the Wheelchair Foundation and were shipped from China to Gdynia.
The wheelchairs were checked and assembled before they were handed over to recipients at a special ceremony in the Radisson Hotel, Szczecin.
The project worked through a great team effort inside the Club and the good support of local businesses who have donated their services free-of-charge to assist with transport storage and distribution.
