Each year in June, with the support of Binowo Park Golf Club, the Rotary Club Szczecin Pomerania holds a Charity Golf competition. Binowo Park Club organises a superb day and around 100 participants take part each year. The event is a significant source of funds for the Clubs charity programmes.
The 2005 objective was to fund the replacement of an Incubator which is used by the intensive care unit for premature babies at the Szczecin, Zdroje Hospital.
The main competition takes place on the 18 hole Championship course.
In addition the Golf Club lays on a Golf Academy for novices where expert tuition is given by the Club Professional on the driving range and the practice green. This is followed by a Texas scramble where the beginners try out their skills on the short 9 hole course.
The day finishes with a barbecue and refreshments in the lovely surrounds of the Golf Course.
